How you pack woolens in April decides what they look like in November. Moths, mildew and musty smells are all avoidable.

Clean before you store

Moths are drawn to body oils and food traces, not the wool itself. A clean garment is a garment they ignore. Always wash or dry-clean before packing away.

Skip the mothballs

Traditional naphthalene balls are toxic and leave a smell that lingers for months. Use cedar blocks or dried neem and lavender instead — natural, effective, and pleasant.

Fold, don't hang

Hanging stretches knitwear at the shoulders. Fold sweaters and shawls flat and store them in breathable cotton bags, never sealed plastic.

Keep it dry

Add a couple of silica gel sachets to fight humidity, and keep boxes off the floor and away from outer walls.

Our woolen & heavy-wear service cleans and preps your winter wardrobe for safe, fresh storage.
